BROADCASTING
The goal of the Broadcasting program at MAS 6-12 is to expose students to the technical and creative aspects of a career in television, film production, social media, and broadcast journalism. Students will study the major components of what is involved in a broadcast/television production, such as scriptwriting, filming, editing, sound mixing, and recording. Using these skills, students will learn how to produce short films, PSAs, commercials, and other types of multimedia projects. Our goal this year is to expand Miami Arts Studio’s news program to incorporate our new studio facilities and broadcast a weekly live newscast. In addition, students will have an opportunity to learn about the competitive field of broadcast arts and compete against their peers at the state and national levels. Once students become sophomores and regularly publish materials they can join the international Quill & Scroll Journalism Honor Society.

I was a part of the opening team of Universal Epic Universe over at Universal Orlando Resort! From assisting Guests as a Guest Services Coordinator to starting the Guest Accessibility Team to now being a Social Media Coordinator, it's been an epic journey! I never expected to grow into the position I am in today but it shows that you really can achieve anything you set your heart too!
