DANCE

Providing a nurturing and stimulating educational environment, the Dance program at MAS offers a wide range of dance disciplines and methodologies. The dance curriculum is designed to offer students a strong technical base, to expand their knowledge of dance as an art form and to inspire passionate creativity in our students. Emphasis is placed on technique, dance history, health/nutrition, choreography and performance. Students participate in ballet, modern, jazz and ethnic dance classes. Dance composition and improvisation make up the balance of our well-rounded dance curriculum.

ALEJANDRA VALENCIA

CLASS OF 2018

Since graduating from Miami Arts Studio, I earned a degree in Early Childhood Education and became a teacher. I’ve used the skills I learned at MAS to make learning engaging and enjoyable for my students. My background in dance and cheer has also allowed me to coach the cheerleading team at my school. In addition, I started my own tutoring business to be able to help students struggling in school.
